Turn Up the Heat on Your Furnace Installation Business

Posted by High Energy Transport on 2 November 2022
Turn Up the Heat on Your Furnace Installation Business

Heating season has hit Southern Ontario a few weeks ago, and many homeowners have discovered their old furnace is not so reliable anymore and may be giving uneven heat. Time to get that fixed before winter hits!

Snapshot: HVAC Contractors Market Sizing

The Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Contractors market size in Canada is estimated at $14.7bn in 2022 according to IBISWorld, up 3.3% from the year before.

The challenge: running a profitable furnace business

Owning and operating a business that sells and installs furnaces has become more difficult in the past few years due to:

  • Availability of furnaces – worldwide supply chain issues
  • A significant increase in cost of materials – everything has gone up in price
  • Labour shortages – how do you find qualified people willing to work?

Many HVAC businesses have shrunk in sales and in size due to the factors mentioned above, and have had to cut costs as a result. Many are now a 1 or 2 man show driving around from customer to customer, trying to maintain or grow their business and keep customers happy with timely installs.

Time is Money

This old adage is nothing new to Furnace installation contractors, but many don’t really consider the impact of constantly driving back and forth to their office to get the furnace for the next job.

It’s actually quite simple:

The more time you spend driving to get the furnaces and deliver them, the less time you spend installing, and therefore the lower the amount of billing you can generate.

The better way: Have High Energy Transport Inc. deliver your furnaces for you

Let us do what we do best: we’ll make sure all of your customers’ furnaces are delivered on time at their home so you can focus on doing what you do best, which is servicing your clients.

You don’t have to worry about delivering furnaces any more, or to run back and forth to your office to get the furnace for the next install. We’re sure you’ll see an improvement in your efficiency, profit and overall customer satisfaction as you focus on installing furnaces.

Don’t wait: Call High Energy Transport Inc. today

Why? Our experienced staff can handle these bulky furnaces, and we can easily accommodate your inventory from our centrally-located warehouse as it transits to your job sites with our Final Mile Delivery services. We are perfectly suited to handle your non-conveyables and have done so reliably for many of our clients over the years.

We treat and value every single customer as if they were our very first client.

We are here and willing to help you and your business in any way we can; please rest assured that your shipments are in good hands with us. Please contact us for a quote.

4 Problems to Avoid When Delivering Mattresses

Posted by High Energy Transport on 5 October 2022
4 Problems to Avoid When Delivering Mattresses

We love our mattresses, but sometimes we hate them too… Given that we spend approximately one third of our lives sleeping, it’s no wonder mattresses play such an important role in our well-being. Many of us also love to read or watch TV in bed; some of us have breakfast in bed, and then there’s, well, you know…

As much as a good mattress can improve the quality of everyday life, getting those mattresses delivered to customers quickly and efficiently is key to creating a high customer satisfaction experience.

Canadian Mattress Industry Data

The Canadian mattress and accessories market is forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 1.7% to reach $27.B in 2024 according to a report available at ResearchAndMarkets.com.

While it is a more modest industry growth, it does present many opportunities for mattress manufacturers and retailers to increase their revenues and their market shares.

Here’s our list of the top 4 problems to avoid in your mattress delivery business:

1.      Can’t handle order volume

If you’re relying on 2 guys with a truck to deliver your mattresses to your clients, yes you may be saving some costs in the short term, but can they handle the volume of orders? You may have to deal with multiple “2 guys with a truck” to fulfill your orders, and that actually adds cost to your business as it’s not a scalable business model.

Solution: use a reliable transportation and logistics partner with a fleet of trucks that can handle your order volume. Faster delivery means more revenue and higher customer satisfaction.

Hint: High Energy Transport Inc. (HET) has a fleet of vehicles to handle your order volume.

2.    Can’t cover your delivery area

Yes those 2 guys with a truck can deliver your mattresses to many cities and towns, but do they actually cover the entire GTA efficiently? If they have to deliver a memory foam mattress to Oshawa then a spring mattress to Niagara Falls, that’s a lot of time wasted driving, and significantly reduces the number of mattresses that can be delivered in a day.

We know that in this day and age consumers expect next day delivery, and that delivery delays directly impact your all-important Google Reviews.

Solution: use a reliable transportation and logistics partner with a fleet of trucks that can cover the entire GTA. Save time and effort, increase customer satisfaction.

Hint: HET covers the entire GTA with its fleet of vehicles.

3.    Improper material handling

Let’s face it: mattresses are big and bulky, they can be quite heavy and cumbersome as well because of their sheer size. Are your delivery partners properly trained to deliver inside a customer’s house – and remove the old mattress – safely and without damaging the customer’s home?

Solution: make sure your delivery service has properly trained staff to avoid damage and injuries, which saves time and reduces shipping costs.

Hint: HET has professionally-trained staff and follow all the applicable health and safety protocols; and that includes good customer manners as well.

4.   No inventory management

Can your mattress delivery partner take inventory off your hands and manage it for you? Or do they have to constantly run back to your warehouse?

Solution: use a reliable transportation and logistics partner that has a warehouse and that can handle some of your inventory for you, reducing your costs and improving your delivery times.

Hint: HET has a centrally-located warehouse and we can direct ship to your clients for you.

High Energy Transport Inc. can help you drive cost out of your mattress delivery needs.

Need to get Gym Equipment to Your Customers? No Problem!

Need to get Gym Equipment to Your Customers? No Problem!

As summer is shining its last rays on us, many consumers will turn their attention to indoor activities to stay fit and healthy throughout fall and winter.

Remember that Peloton craze a few years back? How about that Bowflex or NordicTrack? Whether it’s treadmills, ellipticals or rowing machines, something that’s sure is there will always be a big demand for home gym equipment, and there will always be that next must-have piece of home gym equipment no serious fitness buff should be without.

Fortune Business Insights stated that the global market size for home fitness equipment was US$ 10.18 billion in 2020 and is projected to reach US$14.74 billion by 2028, which means lots of growth opportunities for you and your business.

How do I ship home fitness equipment to my clients?

As a retailer, you’ve received many orders from your clients for indoor gym equipment, but how do you get those items delivered to their homes?

As a fitness equipment manufacturer, you may be selling online to clients all across Canada, but how do you deliver those orders to your biggest market in the Greater Toronto Area?

Home fitness equipment is big, bulky and heavy, and requires special handling, warehousing and shipping. These items aren’t easily handled by automated conveyor systems, and they must be safely manually handled by your warehouse staff. The potential risk of injury can be high if they aren’t trained well or think they can handle more than they actually can. Injured employees hurt your productivity and can result in delivery delays and decreased customer satisfaction overall.

The Best Way to Deliver Sheds to Your Customers

Posted by High Energy Transport on 3 August 2022
The Best Way to Deliver Sheds to Your Customers

With summer in full swing, many homeowners have been as busy as bees in their gardens planting petunias and begonias, or maybe tomatoes and jalapeno peppers. Many home gardeners have purchased new gardening tools to till the soil, plant new seeds and reap their harvests.

With all those gardening tools comes the challenge of where to store everything in a neat and orderly manner? The garage is an obvious answer, but many homes don’t have one or only have a carport. Sometimes our garages are packed full of our stuff and it’s hard to get easy access to what we’re looking for.

The shed is a staple of many residential and commercial properties, and is an excellent way to store all the gardening paraphernalia. Many homeowners have ordered new sheds to replace the old one, and some even have purchased mini greenhouses to house their vegetables and flowers.

The global market for outdoor sheds is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.5% from 2021 to 2028 – from USD$6.6B to USD$9.6B – according to a report from The Insight Partners.

How best to deliver sheds to your clients?

If you’re a retailer or distributor, you’re painfully aware that sheds are bulky and overweight items that aren’t easily handled by automated conveyor systems, and they must be manually handled by your warehouse staff. That ties up your staff and prevents them from performing more efficient tasks, and also exposes them to the risk of injury if the sheds aren’t handled properly or if something happens in the process.

Let a trusted partner handle your sheds for you: High Energy Transport Inc.

Focus on your core business of selling products and servicing your customers with your automated conveyor systems, but let High Energy Transport Inc. handle your bulky non-conveyables like sheds for you.

We have a centrally-located warehouse in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that’s easily accessible from most major highways, which means those oversized sheds don’t even need to go in and out of your facilities, which saves you time, effort and money. Talk about efficiency!

Our qualified staff has both the expertise and the experience to handle non-conveyables, and we’ll deliver directly to your customers on your behalf with our Final Mile Delivery services. We want to become part of your team, and be your delivery mechanism to make your business more efficient.

If we haven’t already convinced you that we’re the best partner to deliver your non-conveyables, contact us today and we’ll show you how we can help improve your delivery business.

We’re sure you’ll see an improvement in your efficiency, profit and overall customer satisfaction as you focus on doing what you do best: servicing your clients.
